21 (5x7" original on paper)
The Motherhood Project is an ongoing collection of mixed media works exploring the layered experience of motherhood, identity, embodiment, and creative becoming. Each piece emerges from my lived experience as both mother and artist — a practice of returning to myself through texture, ritual, and making. I often think of these works as “containers of devotion.” Since becoming a mother, my relationship to creativity has become deeply cyclical — seasons of closeness and distance, fragmentation and return. These pieces honor the quiet, persistent thread that continues calling me back to the studio, back to the body, back to my own interior world.
Framing ideas: Hang in a floater frame, behind or in front of the mat or on a magnetic thumb tack on your wall
Media: hand-dyed + painted silk, embroidery
Size: 5x7"
